Religare AEGON Asset Management to launch mutual fund business

Religare AEGON Asset Management Company, a joint venture between
Religare and AEGON has received the final regulatory approval from the
Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch mutual fund
business in the country. The AMC is looking at launching its first
product by Nov-Dec 2008 for the Indian retail investor.

Religare
and AEGON have partnered to establish Religare AEGON Asset Management
joint venture. Both partners will have equal ownership in the venture.
The joint venture would offer mutual fund and investment products to
the investing community in India and overseas.

Satyam Computer Services launches new facility in Pune

Satyam Computer Services, a leading global consulting and IT services
provider has opened a development center in the Pune Special Economic
Zone at the Rajiv Gandhi InfoTech Park, Hinjawadi.

The
475,000 square-foot facility will eventually accommodate 4750
associates. Currently, several hundred Satyam employees are working at
the site, helping global automotive companies and financial services
institutions enhance their customer service via enterprise application
and business intelligence optimization projects. Satyam now has 30
development centers in India and another 19 around the world. Its
growing development capabilities are part of a trend.

Net profit of Prakash Solvent Extractions rose 66.67% to Rs 0.10 crore
in the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 0.06 crore during the
previous year ended March 2007. Sales rose 432.23% to Rs 17.67 crore in
the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 3.32 crore during the previous
year ended March 2007.

Net profit of Prakash Solvent Extractions rose 66.67% to Rs 0.10 crore
in the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 0.06 crore during the

Shriram EPC wins two orders worth Rs 315 crore

Shriram EPC, a leading integrated engineering service provider for
renewable energy projects, process and metallurgical plants and
municipal service sector projects has bagged two orders amounting to Rs
315 crore from Steel Authority of India, Rourkela Steel Plant.

The
first order includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply,
erection, testing, commissioning and establishment of performance
guarantee of coal chemical plant. This order would be executed in
consortium with Hutni Project Frydek-Mistek a. s., Czech Republic, and
this project is to be commissioned within 28 months from the date of
signing of the contract.

The second order includes design,
engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning and
establishment of performance guarantee for ammonia liquor treatment
plant and ammonium sulphate plant for up gradation of coal chemical
plant. This project is to be commissioned 18 months from the date of
signing of the contract.
