The
Union cabinet will consider a proposal to raise fuel prices on
Wednesday, 3 June 2008, reports suggest. Last week there were talks
that the government may raise fuel prices by Saturday, 31 May 2008,
following a surge in global crude oil prices. The decision has been
delayed as there has been no agreement at the political level within
the government over the extent of the price hike, media reports had
suggested recently.
